Sadly, the Peltor Earmuffs do not actually have any kind of noise canceling technology. However, you will not be able to hear much anyway given the ear tight design. On top of that, the earmuffs fit comfortably well.
Enjoy almost complete silence with these earmuffs.

This is my second pair and Peltor has made comfort improvements over the first pair. The price is astronomically good - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE PATHETIC UNITS SPORTING GOODS STORES!!! This is the best on the market for a standard set of consumer muffs. Buy something else, get free shipping and it is unbeatable.
NOTE: NO muff is perfect - certain sounds always get through esp. on the low and the high side. Sorry - that is the way it is.

The Peltor Professional Noise Canceling Earmuff rules!!!I use them whenever there is noise going on--from me or workers around me. I even use them when my husband is drumming and I want a nap! Ok so i bought these to protect my ears bc i got a backpack blower. Let me say this, these are AWESOME!!! They completely drain out the sound of the blower, and i have a very loud one. That being said, the reason for the 4 stars is simply for vanity purposes. When i put these things on, the actual muffs are so big i look like a complete moron. I mean, they are absurdly large. Now don't get me wrong. I love these things and i prefer they work great then look great. I'm just thankful that when i use them for the leaf blower ( and soon to be snow blower) that i am able to wear a hooded sweatshirt to hide these things!!!! So in summary, they work great, but they are very big. I would recommend these to anyone looking for noise reduction.
