I purchased this item with the extension kit to make it a 16 foot lift. The Item came fast from the vendor no problem there. The lifter came with a broke brake tension spring for one. Second thing that was wrong the 16 foot extension kit would not easily slide into the lifters main tube. I needed to do grinding and sanding to get it to slide in. The directions that come with the lift leaves alot to be desired also. Trying to fit the lift assembly on the wheels was another problem. I had to open the hole the tabs fit into for they seemed to have been bent in maybe durning shipping. After two days of fudging around with this I managed to get the lift tube on the wheels and the lift assemble to go up and down. I still need to attach the top and buy a new brake tension spring and install that to see if the item functions like it should. I would not recommend buying this manufactures product if you plan on using it right away. I do have to admit this is the first bad review I have given on any product purchased from Amazon.com. This is an incredibly inexpensive piece of equipment that does what it's advertised to do: lift sheets of drywall. Do you need more information for some reason? Here's some additional information to round out my opinion:
Pros
* Has most of the features of rental lifts
* Costs very few dollars
* Breaks down for easy storage
Cons
* Adequate construction; does more squeaking and complaining than a heavy duty lift
* Paint was sprayed on, and therefore flakes at a terrifying clip. Powdercoat would have been nice, but is perhaps more expensive
If you need a lift for personal use, this will certainly do the job. I would not recommend it for a high volume, commercial endeavor.

After an initial mixup with shipping, I finally received the product. Upon using the item, I find it very useful and worth the purchase/shipping costs. The product works as advertised and is a "life saver" when attaching drywall to the ceiling. The only criticism I would have is that the "brake" for the crank to lift the drywall hangs up and has to be constantly adjusted to allow the lift to work properly. I don't know if it was damaged in shipment, or just has a habit of hanging up on the housing, but it is not a deal killer and with a little practice is easy to compensate for. Overall, very satisfied.
