I purchased two of these holders based on previous reviews. The most convincing review was one given by a bartender. If these holders survived his conditions, certainly I would be able to use these for a long period of time even with two boys. The holders installed nicely, are made of a solid, contemporary construction and work both horizontally and vertically. There are two caveats; the holder does not dispense one towel at a time but as many as you pull off (not a deal breaker) and the holder makes a clicking noise as you roll the paper towels. (It isn't obnoxious but if you are specifically looking for a noise free towel holder, this isn't the one for you.) I am thinking of buying one for every sink in the house.Customer Review: Excellent holder

Good quality, easy to mount. Can be installed either horizontally or vertically. Buit-in ratchet prevents the towel from unrolling. I recommend this one.
