I often jog on moderate country roads and trails at night as I must work day. I used the Tikka before this one for a couple years and had no major complaints, so the increased brightness and easy on/off button are a definite 'plus'.
I especially like the change from a switch to a button. I often turn off my light at night to check out the stars or moon and flick on the light to let cars know I'm there (to avoid startling them into a swerve). If someones barreling down on you it is nice to not fumble at a switch.
There are some lights like the Myo XP that are brighter and probably necessary in more rugged conditions, but I like the weight of the Tikka+. I got the Myo XP anyways, but don't run with it. If I was needing more illumination running tricky trails, I would use a handheld light in combination to get shadow perspective instead of getting a stronger headlamp. A good one I think Karnazes uses (used?) that I got is UK MINI Q40 LIGHT. Remember that any rating must be relative to your purpose. If you run at night this seems like a good standard buy. If you're a camper get a Myo XP.
P.S. The angle adjustment is really nice to avoid having to bend your neck when going down steeper trails, or to angle up to let cars see you. Never make a car swerve!

Great headlamp. Only problems I notice about the headlamp is that is drains batteries quickly and that the assembly itself doesnt stay secure all the time subsequently resulting in the batteries falling out. Working on a military airfield, this causes a Foreign Object Debris/Damage problem.Customer Review: A must have for outdoorsmen

My husband and I live in Alaska and are avid outdoorsmen. In the winter we have a lot less light, this headlamp is awesome for all out activites. The light is bright and I love how the lamp is adjustable.Customer Review: Awesome light, even in "economy" mode!

After searching for several months, the Tikka Plus from Petzl has been my best and favorite night headlamp; I've used it in outdoors, camping, rock climbing, I even carry it with me when I go out of the city driving to near-by locations.
I recommend this headlamp very much, enjoy it!

This headlight is light, lasts a long time, and takes up virtually no space in my backpacking pack. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to all outdoor enthusiasts and other with a need for a light.
