Tools and Hardware Reviews of Petzl E47 PBY Tikka Plus 4-LED Headlamp, Black and YellowCustomer Review: Great headlamp for winter running Summary: 5 Stars
My wife and I take turns using this headlamp for our early morning runs during the winter months. It easily adjusts between our head size differences, and has not lost any elasticity. It does not bounce during our runs and feels very comfortable over a lightweight stocking cap. It provides more than adequate illumination. This is the first headlight we have used and we are both very satisfied with its comfort and functionality for running.
Customer Review: Great light Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for reading in bed (best reading light I've ever had), and have since used it for working in my attic. I will definitely take it on my next camping trip. I like the brightness settings, and the band is very comfortable. Seems well made.
Customer Review: Great light for running Summary: 5 Stars
I use this light for running. It's very lightweight and very bright. I can easily see where I'm going so I don't fall on my face constantly. The band is very comfortable and easily stays in place under my ponytail. I have used it over my UnderArmour headband also, and it was great. The different light settings are good too, but I usually only use bright. I like how the head tilts so I can pick where I want to direct the light, I move it a lot.
Customer Review: Great light, stays put Summary: 5 Stars
This was my first headlight purchase. I bought it to share between my wife and I for running in the dark. I was concerned that the light would be heavy or move while running but, this thing is so light I forget it's on my head and it doesn't move a bit. It shines brighter than I would have expected and I have also used it to ride my bike in the dark. It's definitely worth the price.
Customer Review: Great product - one small problem Summary: 4 Stars
I loved this item! I took it on a trip to Madagascar, where the tilt feature proved to be REALLY useful. You can incline it upward to look in trees at night (which is, sometimes, pretty useful), or incline it all the way down for lighting your path.
This throws a nice, wide area of light, and all three brightness settings are handy (still haven't found the point of the "strobe" feature).
The only complaint I have with the product is one that might not bother anyone less clumsy - any time you drop this headlamp, it pops open and the batteries fly out. They're easy to put back in, and my lamp was never damaged, but if you find yourself wearing this lamp with a hat, it is easy to launch the thing.
I recommend anyone go ahead and buy this lamp, but practice putting the batteries in when it's light out and, if you're WAY OUT in the boonies, carry a couple extras where you can find them (in the dark).
Other than that - comfort was great, it was easy to use, and I'd recommend to anyone.
