I was excited to purchase these towels. They were low priced and appeared great. I washed them before using them and each of the towels unraveled when washed. Please note: the wash cloths and hand towels did not unravel. I wouldn't mind the unraveling due to the low cost, however, the unraveling caused the towels to look old and trashy. I will not buy the towels again. What a bummer.Customer Review: Great quality and price.

You can't beat the price but upon getting these towels in and washing them on the most gentle cycle possible (handwash) with woolite and tumble drying them (w/o fabric softener)they fell apart! Not only that...they didn't absorb at all. It was like drying off with plasic! Even my little son said 'mommy, these don't work'. I usually look at the bad/good reviews and since the good outweighed the bad here I took a chance and ordered three sets. I really tried to like these towels but found myself reaching in the back of my linen closet for the 10 year old Martha Stewart brand kmart towels that these were supposed to replace! Now after around three washings they are thinner than my 10 yr old MS Kmart specials (it's like they just deflated) and still do not absorb and have continued to fall apart at the seams. On a whim I went back to kmart and bought some egyptian cotton towels on sale thinking I was sadly back to slumming it again. However, the k mart specials were awesome! Thick and fluffy and got thicker and fluffier as I washed them and (who would have thought) they dried me off like a towel should. I really thought I was getting a great product with Pike St. and turned my nose up at my cheapie towel set as I eagerly awaited them. But sometimes stores that get a bad rap for quality (kmart, walmart) can sometimes (sometimes) have great products at a reasonable price. I'm glad I got over myself and now I have awesome towels to show for it!Customer Review: It's like drying yourself with a plastic bag.

I wish I read the other reviews before I purchased these towels. They had a funny smell and I figured I needed to wash them anyway. When I used them for the first time. I had to get one of my older towels to dry off. It's like fluffy polyester.
