Very absorbent, sheds a little until after 2 or 3 washes, never smells bad. I keep forgetting to wash them because they never get that mildew smell after a few days like most towels.

The bamboo towels are exquisitely soft, absorbent and beautiful. Unlike other reviewers claims, they dry quickly. If they feel moist coming out of the dryer, hang them up until they are at room temperature. I ordered my towels in espresso and oatmeal. The espresso is particularly beautiful, a rich dark chocolate. I have donated my old 100% cotton towels to Goodwill as they take too much energy to dry and are not nearly as soft as my bamboo towels. It is important to me that they are made from sustainable bamboo.

The first couple of uses there was a little fuzz left after you dried off, but a couple of washs fixed this. Softer then cotton and more absorbent even when it is still damp. Much heavier then cotton, but it has become my favorite towel.

Twenty bucks for a towel seems a bit high but once you begin to use these things, you'll quickly decide you got quite a bargain. These towels are soft and easily have the most luxuriant feel to them. They have the heft and feel of one of those robes you get in your room at a four star hotel.

But! Not only do they feel really, really nice, they wick water off your skin better than any towel I've ever used. No need to scrub or rub to pull the water away, just drape the towel over your skin and give it a gentle rub. Suddenly that part of you is dry!

Must be the bamboo. Who ever heard of using bamboo as a textile? Goes to show what I know. I was completely surprised as how good they feel and how well they work. I'll never buy any other kind of towel again. Once you try them, you may, indeed, feel the same.
