For the money you can't get a much better helmet. I love the way it works and that fact that you need no batteries. The auto darkening lets me see were I'm about to weld and then when the sparks start flying I can see with no problem. This helmet is worth every penny.Customer Review: First time welder

This is the first helmet I have ever used so I have nothing to compare it to. For $50 I took my chances and I think I got a heck of a deal. So glad I went with auto-darkening. The adjustable shade setting works well. Not the most rugged head gear in it but as long as you don't misuse it you should get pretty good life out of it. I have a Speedglas and a Hobart hood. I decided to try one of these from all the good reviews. The only thing I don't like about it, is there is no adjustment for the highth in the down position. The sweatband is even removable and washable, my speedglas that I paid $239.99 for doesn't even have that! Try one, you'll like it.Customer Review: Good price and it works

This is a 1st helmet for us so we don't have anything to compare it to but it is comfortable and works as it should. It shuts down instantly when welding. I don't know what more I could ask for....Customer Review: Good product, great value

I haven't had the chance to use it much, but so far this helmet does not differ noticeably in performance from a jackson helmet costing well over $100. In fact, the headband is marginally more comfortable and stays in place better. My only reservation is that the mask is relatively short, meaning that it may not protect the base of your neck from radiation and such, depending on the size of your collar and your head position. The viewing window isn't very big either, and a bit lower than I'd like, but honestly I don't notice either of these things while I'm welding. These shortcomings are more than made up for by the price; I can't say how well it will hold up, but for $50 I definitely recommend it.
