I've only had this sander for a week or two but it works great so far. The sander seems to catch almost all the dust when you attach a shop vac to it. I have a small shop vac that I attach it to. I have a larger Ridgid shop vac but the hose is too big for the dust port.
The sanding works really well.... just don't put a ton of pressure on the sander or you'll leave swirl marks.
I would give this 4.5 stars but I know a lot of people only have the larger shop vac and may be disappointed that their shop vac isn't compatible with it.

Received this ROS a couple of weeks ago and I have been using it to sand down teak deck chairs that needed to be refinished. I am pleased with it so far. It is a little heavy for sanding that requires a lot of repositioning and odd-angle sanding but it performs solidly. The absence of variable speeds is a bit of a drawback but if the interest is to find a simple, solid performer at a good price, the PC343K fits the bill.Customer Review: Smooth Operator

This new sander is great. It is much more comfortable than the other version. I usually go through one every 11/2 years due to the use and abuse I give them. This one takes more off faster and is more comfortable in the hand. The only negative is that this one can not be used for small detail work as well as the old one. I love it!
