Tools and Hardware Reviews of Primo Water - Pioneer Stand Up Water CoolerCustomer Review: Money well spent! If you are considering then buy Summary: 5 Stars
I felt obligated to add a review since there are only 2 others above me. Only reason I purchased this is because of the others who left a review for me to feel confident with this purchase. First off let me tell you, this item is A+ hands down. It is already factory set for cold and hot, I dont have any kids but there is a child proof mechanisim for the hot water which is really nice. The cold water is just perfect and very refreshing. At $89.00 this is an extremely good deal, I have had this for over a month with no problems.
My place is the hang out spot on the weekends for my friends and in the early summer this thing has already been used a lot with no issues. And I can see I will actually be saving money because I always purchased bottled water, plus Ice... over a year that is maybe 3 times what I will be spending on this item. The only small complaint I had was the hole for you to put the water in is small and you either need someone who can drop it in quickly and safely before water spills... Or have the safety lids that come with most water jugs now days. Im a big guy so I just lean the water cooler a bit and put the 5 gal jug on quickly, with minor spilling. But I can see that being an issue for smaller women or younger children trying to put on.
If you are considering buying this then go for it, well worth the money. On a scale of 1-10 I give this a 9.5, like I said only small issue would be the size of the hole for the water jug to fall in, but thats an easy fix as they have the 3.5 gallon jugs and the water safety lids available. I hope my review helped, this item is one of the best things I purchased online. Also if you want to know what this looks like go to google and under image search type(5 gallon Pioneer Water Cooler)
Customer Review: Terrible Customer Service!!!! Summary: 1 Stars
I procurred the product in August, it is erxactly what I was looking for at a good cost. But that is where it ended. The refrigeration system quit working the first week of October (less than 2 months old). I contacted Primo Customer Service and they informed me that they wanted me to go through several steps of maintenance. After inquiring why I had to go through so many steps they informed me that the steps I was taking would VOID MY WARRANTY! At that point I told them that I would not perform these steps and they then said that there was only one person that handles these issues and that they would pass my information on to them, and they would them contact me. Well that was 10 days ago. I called them back and once again I was not helped and had to leave another message. Customer service after the purchase is very important to me, and at this point I have a machine that does not cool the water whatsoever. And their Customer Service WILL NOT assist me. Consider other brands if Customer Service is important to you!
Customer Review: Value /Not Attractive / Functional / Some quirks Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased the stainless steel version from Walmart for $139. 24 hrs old.
OVERALL I am satisfied. Not attractive. Functional.
Agree with comment (above) that you have to bend down lower to spigots than is comfortable. But this is NOT terribly inconvenient, I am 5'11. Only minor issue to me.
Appearance is somewhat industrial. Kind of looks like R2D2 from "Star Wars" sitting in our otherwise tasteful kitchen. Only front is Stainless. Sides are gray painted metal. Shape is square.
Cool H2O Flow rate is MUCH better than our previous walmart cooler. I like that. Don't know about flow rate on hot water. We don't use hot water.
Noise: You know it is on when compressor is running, but tolerable. Only slightly annoying.
I don't want hot water, so turned that function off (on/off switch for hot water is on back or unit).
Little top heavy. They include hardware to anchor to your wall so it won't tip over! I did NOT attach to wall. Taking my chances.
Comes with two water bottle interfaces so you can use either water bottles that have caps OR open top H2O bottles (not caps). I read somewhere that was an issue to a customer that had bottles without caps. This Stainless unit has adapters for BOTH types of bottles. (we use capped bottles)
Based on complaints of failing in 2 yrs, I bought extended warranty ($10). 1 yr manufacture warranty + 1 yr extended warranty.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Customer Review: Would not order again. Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered this cooler, it arrived inoperable, I follwed the instructions to the T. Water was collecting in the bottom and leaking on the floor. Another cooler arrived (which I did not ask for) from another company, I was charged twice, this one the same thing, and the water tank do not fit the top. I have contacted the company (Primo Water), and after 30 days I was told too bad, to late. You get what you pay for.. I am not a happy consumer.
Customer Review: slow Summary: 1 Stars
I replaced an older Oasis hot/cool dispenser with this one and the water flows out incredibly slow. I found that I had to sit there for what seemed like a very long time while the water trickled out. If you need to fill a soup pot, you might want to pull up a chair.... you'll be there awhile. It might not seem like a big deal, but ask yourself how often you drink water and multiply the wasted time. Not worth it.
