I bought these gloves because I am a Heavy Equipment Operator who recently started working for an outfit that works rain or shine. The gloves I normally wear get soggy and cold when wet. I wanted a pair of gloves that would allow me to keep my hands warm and dry while working in incliment weather. I also wanted a pair of gloves that would allow me a bit more dexterity than ski gloves.
The first time I wore them, I noticed that my hands were moist when I took them off. I'm not sure if this was because my hands were wet before I put them on or if they did not live up to their billing. I will say that they do keep the hands warm. They are thicker than expected, but not as thick as ski gloves. The thickness is a result of the insulation.
This week will be the true test. We're expecting a couple of storms. I will report back on how well the gloves do. I'll make sure to dry my hands before putting them on.
