Keep in mind that I am an absolute beginner, so my experience may say more about the user than the product. I found this paper took ink from my printer very well, handled the wood burning tool well and is a vastly more stable than tracing paper. The only down side is that it isn't really transparent. But as a paper product that works with extreme heat, it did much better than I expected. I started outside thinking the burn tool could ignite the paper if I held it incorrectly. But it was so stable I was soon inside burning away on several defenseless pieces of wood.
