This is absolute garbage. I bought it thinking I was getting a deal, but when I got it put up, the rope wouldn't stay on the pulley, and when it came off, it jammed the whole mechanism. Then one of the ropes stopped moving, the bike fell off the hooks and I was lucky that I wasn't under it. If you choose to buy it, be sure to wear a hard hat and shoulder pads when raising or lowering your bike, and be sure to only use bikes that you don't care about. The bike hoist does everything it is designed to do. It has created the floor space I was looking for. The only drawback is that the ropes fray very easily. I'm sure I will have to replace them very soon.
