It is too short. The height fits perfectly well on my vents, but the width hardly covers it. Besides, the magnet is not too strong, so I had to put 8 strong thick magnets to keep it in place. After doing this, it really makes a difference with the cooling efficiency, but the total cost is much higher and I had to paint everything with the color of my walls, otherwise it looks very ugly.Customer Review: DOES NOT WORK

All the prior reviews are acccurate and these don't work as advertised for the purposes of covering wall vents. However as weak as these magnetic covers are they can potentially work for you. Here's the solution I found that works ok:
1) First make sure to cut them exactly to size...the smaller the better as this allows them to hold their own weight much better.
2) Double them up. After you cut it to size use 2 covers back-to-back on wall vents. They will hold this way.
If all else fails you can always use those mini-magnets which are obscure and powerful enough to hold these up and get the job done.

I have an odd-sized vent and had trouble finding a permanent vent cover that opens and closes. The magnetic vent cover fits perfectly and does a great job of keeping air from coming out of the vent. It's perfect for my needs.
