18 February 2011: Racor B-1R Solo Vertical Bike Rack is designed for installation on walls with wood studs. The instructions are not too bad, but you need to locate wooden studs in you wall or install it on the wooden wall. The main problem is that mounting screws are cheap, strip easily and break-off. You need to buy Two stainless steel screws for this work or use common sheet rock screws, as I end up doing for installation.Customer Review: Cleans a messy garage

I bought several of these to clean up a messy garage and they did the trick. The kids bikes now have a place to live and I can get my car in the garage. These make a great solution to a common problem. I do have concerns with how long the rubberized cushioning will last on the upper arm but that's what they make duct tape for... These make a good solution for your basic everyday bike but I don't think I would recommend them for high end bikes especially those with carbon or areo rims.Customer Review: Does the job.

I looked at several similar products before I bought the Racor Solo Bike Racks. The Racor racks from Amazon were the least expensive. The white color of the ones I bought look the most unobtrusive in my apartment. Although the instructions say the racks must be mounted to a wall stud with included hardware, I mounted mine to sheetrock (wallboard) using two large moly bolts for each one. (Do this at your own risk.) My two racks have worked quite well at holding my fairly light road bike and my heavier commuter bike. I docked one star for fit and finish. otherwise, I'm happy.Customer Review: Easy and worth the price.

These took about 2 minutes to install in my garage where the studs were easy to locate. It is fairly easy to mount the bike. You may want to rotate the tire after mounting so the spoke is not in contact with the hook. I got 2 from Amazon for about $28 which was a good deal. They arrived a day or so earlier than projected. Tire marks on my garage don't bother me much since it is an unfinished surface.Customer Review: Easy to install and use

Received the Racor Vertical Bike Rack in 3 days with Free shipping. Was able to install in 30 mins for all our 3- bikes and mount the bikes. The only negative feedback I can give is the rubber casing for the tire grip sometimes comes out when you unmount the bike. THey could make the grip a little wider for mountain bikes. Should not be a problem with street bikes and racing bikes as the tires are not as wide.
