Tools and Hardware Reviews of Racor Pro PLB-4R Gravity Freestanding Bike StandCustomer Review: Rack works great Summary: 5 Stars
If you need a rack to hold 4 bikes, this one works fine. I had no problems putting it together. Everything fit fine. I would recommend putting carpet under though, to keep it more stable. It works just like it looks in the picture.
Customer Review: Racor 4-Bike rack/stand Summary: 4 Stars
I did quite a bit of review reading before this purchase. This was the best deal I found on Amazon BUT some of the reviews mentioned the manufacturer did not drill holes properly which seems to be the case. You definitely need tools to get it tightly together. Ours' is still not tightened up as it should be but it works. Great design- it seems sturdy enough but not executed properly. The adjustable arms are great when deciding where to place bikes and adapt to different kinds of bikes. The rack is also a bit larger than I thought based on the pictures but works great! It was a great option for us because we are not allowed to put holes in our ceiling and most bike racks still need to be ancored to the wall or ceiling.
Happy shopping!
Customer Review: Racor Bike Stand Summary: 4 Stars
This product solved our clutter problem in our garage. We have extra bikes for visiting friends & family. This rack really decreased the footprint they take up in our limited storage space. It arrived quickly, and went together easily according to simple instructions. The adjustability allows for all our different configurations & sizes. My only complaint...The thin protection tape on the brackets could be thicker. I will have to augment that to keep from scratching the paint on frames.
Customer Review: Racor Pro Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased two of these and am glad I did. I have 8 bicycles and these are an amazing storage solution. The arms have enough wigggle room to fit all of our bicycles, from my Gary Fisher carbon fiber HiFi to my 4 y/o daughters Trek. The bases have precut holes that did not line up well, so required some force to get the bolts in. The arms are easy to attach to the stand but are somewhat difficult to remove. The ends of the arms are nicely rubberized so they are easy on your bicycles finish. The stands are plenty sturdy, and I have complete confidence that they won't fail.
Customer Review: Very nice, space saving rack Summary: 4 Stars
Recently purchased the Racor free standing bike rack. The rack was easily assembled in a short amount of time. Some reviewers have commented on having difficulty getting 4 bikes on the rack. Although it took a few tries to get the hooks at the correct heights, once everything was set I had no trouble getting all 4 bikes (2 road, 2 MTB) on the rack. I am 6'3" -- my bikes occupy a lot of real estate -- and my wife is 5'2", so maybe the big size difference makes it easier for us to store the bikes. We have a small house with a small garage, so this rack is a huge space saver for us -- we even added hooks to the open holes on the upright for hanging our helmets, gloves, etc. All in all, this was an excellent investment for freeing up space and organizing the area where we store our bikes.
