My first house and still learning the joys of maintaing everything in it, so I agree with another poster that trying to clean drip pans is an exercise in futility for the most part. Maybe it's different if you have the more expensive porcelain drip pans. My drip pans got disgusting and actually burned or rusted through, so I took a chance on these and they fit my at-least-5-year old Maytag Gemini electric stove perfectly (I have 2 large burners, 2 small). Improved its looks 100% and I just ordered a second set for when these get all messed up. Great to find something described as "universal" that actually fits.
