I replaced two older plastic reels with these a couple months ago...and what an amazing difference in quality and ease of use. The Rapid Reels are solidly made and look absolutely beautiful on the house. Winding up the hose used to be a dirty, sweaty chore but now it's a snap! Both my 80-year-old mother and I love using it.
I'm also impressed with the company's service because their installation instructions were clear, they contacted me by email to make sure I was happy with the product and recently emailed the winterizing instructions to me.
Do yourself a favor and invest in this reel...you won't be sorry.

I am totally delighted with the Rapid Reel. It was easy and quick to assemble and all the parts needed for installation were included. The only suggestion I have is they could include an appropriate masonry bit. Getting that required a trip to Lowe's.
The reel works very well and certainly vastly surpasses any other reel we have ever had.

This product was as expected, due to the favorable reviews I researched before I purchased this product, I expect nothing less than what I got. If your going to buy a hose reel, spend the extra 30$ and buy this one, it will last for ever and you can't beat brass fittings. Its a no brainer, after buying a plastic piece of crap from the local hardware store, having it leak all over the place, and also falling a part at any time, this Reel is like gold. Spend 2X the price and get 10X the quality and life span. I would recomend this to any home owner looking for a long lasting quality garden hose real. Yes it takes a few minutes to put together, and it might require some brain activity to read the directions, but we all can use a little challenge once in a while. I was tired of replacing my hose reels every year, so I finally bought a high quality reel. I am confident this hose reel will last for well over 10 years (the length of its guarantee). On the downside, the reel is very basic in design. It does not have a guide to keep the hose neatly spooled as you wind it in. Nor does it have a fancy housing to disguise the hose or blend into the environment. However, its basic design makes it bulletproof.
