Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rayovac SE3DLN Sportsman Xtreme 300-Lumen LED LanternCustomer Review: Bang for the Buck Summary: 5 Stars
On a store shelf, this thing would look like a toy. Out of the package, it looks and feels extremely well built. Yes the batteries are a little difficult to put in and the instructions are lacking. No way the blinking light is going to drain the batteries significantly, although I agree the blinker is really lousy and can't be seen unless you're right at it. When you compare the light output, versatility, expected durability and cost of operation, to the price, you would be silly to buy anything else. Would a remote and recharging system be nice? Yes. But what do you expect for $25. Even with its short comings this a 5 star no-brainer. Great value for the money.

Customer Review: Best LED Camp Lantern Summary: 5 Stars
The Rayovac SE3DLN Sportsman Extreme 3D LED Lantern is the best LED camp lantern for the price. I purchased one of these and then another. It is very bright, very compact, has good frosting and ribbing on the plastic globe so there is no glare, is rubber armored for protection, and can even be hung upside down in the tent if desired. All in all, it is a very well-designed camp lantern and a good value.
Customer Review: Best LED lantern yet! Summary: 5 Stars
This will make an excellent emergency light or camping lantern. It is very bright. You will not be able to read by it unless very close. I have used it during an extensive power outage ( almost 24 hours) and it lit my living room well. Hang it upside down and remove the diffuser for best coverage. As with all lanterns, the higher it is placed the better. As far as the dificulty of putting in batteries, it's pretty simple. There are two arrows pointing to the notch on the battery lid and base. Line them up (tab on top inside notch on bottom) , push down and twist and you are done. I liked mine so well, I ordered two more.
