Rayovac SE3DLN Sportsman Extreme 3D LED LanternThis lantern is extremely bright with two settings. It last 24 hours a day for 10 days straight. The best lantern I have purchased out of 8 in the few years. It also has different variations for placement from standing to hanging and all in between.Customer Review: Best and Bright!!!

I bought one of these and my wife and I were so impressed that we bought a second lantern. I keep one in my garage and one in my safe room/tornado shelter. If there's a possibility that you may be without power for an extended period of time, you want these lanterns for light sources. The hook on the bottom makes hanging the lantern in a tent or canopy easy. Most lanterns are round, making them difficult to pack in camping gear. The square design of the Rayovac Sportsman makes packing a breeze. At around $25, this lantern is a bargain!Customer Review: Best lantern I have ever owned

I am a big camper and quartermaster for our Scout troop. This is hands down the best battery powered lantern I have ever owned (and I have owned plenty). Take off the diffuser and hang it upside down like a light bulb and it's amazing. What's really amazing is the size and weight for the light output. Our area has occasional power outages, and after a recent outage that lasted several hours, I realized our flashlight and candles just weren't enough. I looked at all the lanterns listed on Amazon, and chose this one because it was highly reviewed, and because it took the fewest batteries for a lantern with that output. Two days after I received it, we had another power outage, and this lantern was fantastic, lighting up our entire living room well enough to read by. Unlike some reviewers, I had no problem inserting the batteries. The blinking green light on the base really helped me find the lantern when the lights went out, and I don't believe it will drain the batteries. I have smoke detectors that have the same type of blinking light, and the batteries last over a year. The lantern is just the right size, and it feels very rugged. If we every go camping again, this will replace our old Coleman gas lantern with no problem.
