Tools and Hardware Reviews of Redi Shade 3003236 36-by-64-Inch Room Darkening Vinyl Shade with Cord, DoveCustomer Review: Wonderful Redi Shades Summary: 5 Stars
I have allergies and have used Redi Shades for over 4 years, have used the cordless and the ones with the cord. I like the cordless best. The are easy to cut and easy to hang.
On windows that get usage and because I live in the south, (Hot here) sometimes the tape at the top of the blinds gradually come loose, so I just take a small piece of duct tape and place on center and corners when I first put up, then it doesn't make any difference how hot it gets, it won't come loose.
They are wonderful temporary shades, gives your room a nice look from the outside and you can replace as often as the dust requires. I would never go back to using regular blinds after using Redi Shades. In addition, the price is very reasonable.
Try them, you will not be disappointed.
If you are wanting to truly darken your room, take a white garbage bag and tape it across your window (so it looks okay from the outside). Cover with Expensive Dark Green Garbage bags (they are darker than cheap) (hang long across, use tape if in apartment or use tacks if in your own place to secure them. Then so your room looks nice, hang your room darkening Redi Shade.
You room will be really dark. My husband said our bedroom is like a cave. LOL.
I love them!

Customer Review: Work great Summary: 5 Stars
These were a little to narrow for our window but still work great. I like that they have the draw string cord instead of clips to hold it up. Just tuck the cord up high if you have little ones.
Customer Review: Worth EVERY Penny Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this shade yesterday via standard shipping and got it TODAY! It would be different if I were living in the city or suburbs, but no... my area of residence is VERY rural, so this feat is amazing in and of itself!
The old shade in my computer room looked so pathetic, but I was leary of replacing with something I had to cut to size myself. The included instructions made this extremely easy! The only difficult part was actually cutting with the utility knife, but I managed. Luckily, it came with a cutting guide as well. Using this, there's no way you can accidentally make a crooked cut.
This shade is very nice and very durable. Putting it up was a breeze. If you fear the sticky pads might not hold it (trust me, they have plenty of sticking power) or desire to make it more permanent, you can do what I did- after sticking it up, pull the shade down a bit until you have access to the under side of the top. After this, install a wood screw through the center and about an inch from the edges (yes, into the window casing...unless doing do might do harm to your window somehow). Another idea might be to use some velcro. I now have a permanent window shade that looks great inside and from outside again. I'll definitely be buying more of these as needed for the rest of the house! They're attractive, simple to size and install, and cost little. You can't beat that!
Customer Review: Wrong Product Shipped Summary: 1 Stars
The item was NOT what it indicated-- it was simply paper rather than corded vinyl.
Customer Review: You get what you pay for. Summary: 3 Stars
This is what I get for thinking $15 will buy me shades for my windows. If you want something that won't fall down after a few days because the foam tape is crap quality, spend a little extra money and buy real shades.
