I've owned my Steamboy that I purchased from Amazon for more than two years and I often loan it to my daughters to use. It is still steaming away. My only complaints are that it does not work on laminate flooring well and it dribbles at times. Owned my Steamboy for 6 years without a problem. Very hot steam starts flowing within 20 seconds and gunk comes right up. You do need several pads as they get very dirty very quickly, but that is your assurance that it is working. Even the worst reviewer on here recounted their bad review in a comment on his own review. You can be confident that this product will do what it says it will do. Oh, and it isn't that heavy. Lighter than a vacuum but heavier than a dust mop for sure.Customer Review: I love steam cleaning my ceramic floors!

I don't have to worry about my cat and cleaning products with this steam cleaner and the floors get much cleaner! Just as an aside-I had bad case of bronchitis and the Dr. recomended inhaling steam in the bathroom. I thought that was a waste of hot water so I steam cleaned my bathroom floor at least four times a day and breathed easier and got a cleaner floor!Customer Review: INCREDIBLE!

This mop is amazing, no questions asked. It produces steam in 20 seconds (I can't understand the review that said it took 45 mintues to build up) and cleaned my floor well. My 4 month old gets baby cereal on the floor that turns to a virtual cement, and the steamboy removed it in one swipe! It leaves me floor almost dry, too (there is a learning curve, though). Super cool: it removed a coffee stain from my carpet that was probably a year old. This is worth every penny invested!! Buy this mop!Customer Review: Like it, but only lasted a year

I had this mop for a year and a month. It worked good. Some people said the handle was flimsy, but I didn;t find that. Yes you do have to put it together but that just took two screws and 4 minutes. I have small kids and a messy cat so the mop got regular use. It will clean cat poo smell and the stain out of carpet which was GREAT. Did a good job on the tile to. The pads were fantasic just threw them in the washer when I was done. Still have some unused. My main complaiant was that at about 8 months old it got clogged with a calicum deposit ( I just used regular tap water). However, the help desk told me how to clear it out. After that I had to clear it monthly. then a hose came loose in the foot, but I was able to fix that at home. Then the unit started steaming from the body, finally getting so hot it warped the case. Of couse that was right after it went out of warrenty. So, I am looking for a new one I think it all had to do with calicum buildup. If you take better care of it that might not happen, but I have small kids and a messy pet so I just want things that work w/o extra care/products/or steps.
