I bought this product a few months back at Kohl's and am thinking about purchasing for my mom for Christmas. I never had to read the instructions as it is fairly intuitive. It's basically like an iron...has a heating element that heats the water. It is environmentally clean, easy to use and you can use it anywhere...I have a big painted front porch and I just used it yesterday to steam clean the porch floor before putting up Christmas decorations. I don't have to worry about getting the pad dirty, because I can just throw it in the wash with bleach and my whites and it comes perfectly clean. For those who are having problems, the only thing I can say is you must be pressing the release button too much. I only press once, wait for the steam and go. It works like a charm on my wood floors, tile, etc. Better than yucky mops and wringing out constantly.Customer Review: Quicker than mopping!

I have owned mine for almost 4 months now. I love it. Cleans the floor much quicker than mopping and just as well. And the cleanup is simple, just throw the cover it the washing machine. I love that I don't have to use any chemicals with it. The only thing you need is water. My only disappointment would be that it doesn't clean out the little divets in my flooring any better than the mop. I will still have to use a toothbrush for that. I used my Steamboy for the first time yesterday and was very pleased with the results. I had done quite of bit of research before the purchase so think that I made a good decision. I have dark colored tile floors and most cleaning products leave a dull looking floor. With just the steam the floors are shiny and clean. I liked it so much I just purchased one for a gift for my son. I gave it four stars because of the short cord. I usually use an extension cord on my vacuum so it really doesn't bother me. Works great, and I have three dogs, so sanitizing is important, I would however fix the button on the pad as it was hard to close and I had a problem with slipping. I do love it however and feel I can work this problem out.

The Steamboy Floor Mop did not disappoint. I have a high gloss, white tile floor in the kitchen, dining room, and hallway. When cooking, the tiniest of greasy splatters would smudge-track everywhere. I used to get down on my hands and knees with a spray cleaner rather than drag out a mope and bucket or my Swiffer Wet Jet that always over-sprays and stains my stainless (more work). The mop heats up in minutes and the floor is back to squeaky clean in no time. One hint: after filling the water tank and plugging it in, pull the trigger for a minute to gurgle the water down into the the lines. I didn't and wasn't getting any steam. This company's customer service dept. via Chris took the time to open up a Steamboy, assemble and trouble shoot my issue. Incredible!( I know it says to empty the tank, but I keep water in mine and just whip it out of the closet for a quick clean-up.) Enjoy yours.
