Bought one of these a month ago, and found it is so complicated to set up. I'm a computer programmer and all-around tech guy, and I couldn't figure it out. The instructions are terrible and are not clear at all. I'm not talking about the usual broken English written in a foreign country instructions either. They are grammatically correct, but the instructions made no sense.

Once you do eventually kinda figure it out, it works as advertised. The included remote control is actually very nice and stylish, and it's RF, not infrared, so no direct line of sight necessary. I've tried using the remote from another room and it works fine.

I primarily ordered this as an automatic timer with random function but having the remote is very handy to manually turn the light on and off. I recently need a way to wirelessly turn a different light on and off, so I bought another one of these so I can use the same remote to control both lights (the remote can control up to 4). Works great.

I wish it was easier to program and set up, but once you figure it out, it works great.
