Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rescue YJTD-DB12 Yellow Jacket Control TrapCustomer Review: Not so sure about this trap Summary: 3 Stars
I live in the bayou of La...and apparently the wasps around here are not fooled easily! I hung several different types of traps around my yard and nothing seemed to work!
Customer Review: RESCUE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY Summary: 5 Stars
Fill trap with apple juice and water and hang up on a bush. This worked so well that after I bought one, I ordered four more. Well worth it.
Customer Review: Terrible Summary: 1 Stars
How did this product even get 1 good review? Terrible, sat right next to a whole swarm practically that was coming to my pool to drink water every day. After 7 days, it caught NOTHING. Took it down and tossed in the trash. DO NOT BUY THIS, you will be disappointed.
Customer Review: This Yellow Jacket Control Trap is a no go for the hornet problem in my area. Summary: 1 Stars
My yard is being overwhelmed by meat eating, territorial swarms of hornets all over the place. I purchased two of these disposable Yellow Jacket Control traps to try in help trap & get rid of the big hornet problem that I am having in my area. I placed two of these traps out in my property about two weeks ago. I went out every day since then to see if these disposable traps were doing their job & catching any of the nasty hornets that were taking over my property. After two weeks of being setup, only one hornet was caught & trapped in one these worthless traps.
I have purchased & tried allot different wasp & hornet traps lately including this one & have come to the conclusion that only one out of all the other wasp & hornet traps that I have purchased & tried actually works & shows some success in getting rid of the hornets. That is the: Xcalibur Reusable Yellow Jacket Trap YJTR8 which works quite well to attract, trap & kill them by drowning them once trapped inside.
I would not recommend the (Rescue Yellow Jacket Control Trap) for trapping & getting rid of hornets because apparently the hornets are not attracted or interested in this kind of trap for some reason. The attractant included for this disposable Yellow Jacket just smells like White Vinegar.
Customer Review: Walmart has these for about 4.97 Summary: 5 Stars
there is a fly trap also, same price, besides this yellowjacket one. They both work fabulous. We have thrown away our cans of wasp spray, I promise you won't catch anything but the yellowjackets and hornets in this kind....no moths or gnats to fill it up. The fly bag even caught a few yellowjackets. We put bags down in our orchard as well.
Bees (honey and bumble) stay away so we don't lose bees, just the predator yellowjackets and hornets, or flies accordingly. Have had to change the filled up bags every couple days, but they are not bothering us and stinging us and late;ly we haven't seen any around where we are, just around the bags. With both types of bags, the critters are sitting at the top of the bag and fighting with each other --just can't wait to get in! AMAZING PRODUCT!
This is the best bag systems we have ever used and we get tons and tons of hornets and yellowjackets. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!
