Tools and Hardware Reviews of Richell 3-Bin Recycling TowerCustomer Review: This item is excellent Summary: 5 Stars
This item sure beats the heck out of storing huge blue bins in front of my door. Now I keep the bins outside my door and they just blend into the wall. When recycling day comes, we just dump the items into the appropriate blue bins and set them out.
I do wish that the bins were a little larger, but I knew there size when I purchased them.
The item was very easy to put together.
Considering buying another one for my daughter's room for storing some of her toys. I can also see where it might be useful for the kitchen (plastic bag storage, pet food storage, Storing Tators & Onions etc).
Customer Review: This works well and is a great organizer Summary: 4 Stars
We recycle a lot of paper and plastic. Being a family of 4 we go through a lot food. Throw in a newspaper subcription and you've got a lot of stuff. This is a great way to keep things neet and organzied and doesn't look half bad standing in teh corner. It is sturdy and easy to put together. I did not give it 5 stars because it needs to be a bit bigger.
Customer Review: Two of them arrived broken Summary: 1 Stars
Good in theory. The tall stacking does save space. The off white plastic is more acceptable than many of this type of item I have seen. The first set of Bins arrived with the side panel broken. The box did not appear to be damaged in shipment. After some mis-communication on part of Stacks and Stacks, we finally received the second set of Bins, only to find once again the plastic had a long crack in it. We were able to glue it together and will live with it, but at the cost of $75 (with shipping) I would say, don't waste your money.
Customer Review: Useful Quality Product Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two of these for use in a couple of library buildings to hold plastic grocery bags for people to take and carry their items in. I was very impressed with the ingenuity that went into these storage towers. They assemble VERY easily, they are sturdy, and they hold quite a bit of stuff in a very small footprint. I think these would be useful for all sorts of things - toys, pantry items, garage storage, etc. The only bad thing I can think to say is that one of the two units I ordered was missing the foot pedal. One call to Richell and they had one shipped out to me. Highly recommended!
Customer Review: Wonderful size, but a little flimsy Summary: 4 Stars
I wanted a stacking recycle bin that would take up less floor space in my kitchen. This narrow tower is ideal. I use one bin as a kitchen hamper (bibs, towels), one for cans and glass, and one for paper. Each bin has a little tab foot that makes it easy to tilt the bin open. The bins also remove easily from the frame; I take out the bins when emptying them, rather than lining them with bags.
My only complaint is that the tower parts are a little flimsy. Each bin has some black arms in it. They're not strong enough to carry the bin, so perhaps they're only for securing bags. Two of our bins arrived with broken arms (moot for us, but perhaps not for you). Also, the bins don't hold much; in a household of two adults and a toddler, we empty them about three times a week. But I don't think a different system would hold more, unless it took up more floor space. Overall, we're pleased.
