Customer Review: Don't know what I'd do without this!

Ever since the mid-nineties, I've lived in East County San Diego, and we have an ANT PROBLEM out here. They are these little tiny ants that are very fast and crawl over everything AND they BITE. Right now I'm ordering Riddex for about the fourth time.
The first one I ordered from QVC. WE had tried everything to get rid of these ants. Cleaning, exterminators, home remedies. We really did our homework, and the closest I could come was finding that they are Argentinian ants that nest in the walls. We seriously doubted that this product from QVC would actually work. It cost about $50 for one at that time, but within a little over a week...the ants were gone. They used to crawl over the dining room table and our food while we were eating, bite us while we slept, and believe me...everything was pristine clean.
Unfortunately...the device lost its power after about five or so years, and I hunted for one on the internet for a quite some time, and then "AT LAST!"...there it was. I ordered two for the price of one about eight years ago, and have had some problems with them (i.e. my microwave blew when I plugged one into the same socket). So...now I know not to do that. Also...some of them I've had have been less powerful or last a shorter period of time. But all in all...it's worth it to me to be insect free. I've never had a problem with roaches or mice (knock on wood), but the minute I see a few spiders...I know I should replace my Riddex.
I just ordered two because the red warning light has been blinking, and the ants are back. Hope they'll be gone soon, and some of the reviewers are correct. Two units work better than one. I'm sorry this device hasn't worked for many of you. It's been like a miracle for me for 15 years. I hope I continue to feel that way.

I cannot believe I am saying this, but I am completely convinced this thing is a mouse magnet. First of all, I have never seen any rodents or insects in home except for the occasional rare spider. This being almost 4 years in a top level apartment. Enter a pair of Riddex, and I am considering getting a Habitrail.
I bought a 2-pack of these at the drugstore as they were on sale. I needed a couple nightlights, and saw these, as they supposedly provide light. I figured, why not, it wouldn't hurt. The light is fairly useless with a dim blue effect. But the fun here is that is in the past month I keep hearing movement near the units. I put glue traps under the units, and in less than 2 weeks I have trapped THREE mice. The first catch freaked me out that I bought several more traps for all over the house. How interesting the additional mice were trapped only near the Riddex units.
The units were unplugged for a couple weeks with no mice to be seen, trapped or heard. How odd that the mice seem to go away when unplugged. For the heck of it, I plugged the things in last night and woke up to another mouse under the unit in a trap. That's FOUR mice in less than a month.
I will repeat that I am on the top floor of the building, never saw a mouse before, and there is nothing in my apartment that would attract the mice. The glue traps supposedly have scent to attract, but the mice appeared before I was dealing with traps, and only during the time I began using these electronic nightmares.
I thought I was losing my mind, blaming the units for attracting something it is supposed to repel. But after reading so many reviews and complaints about this company here and online, I don't understand why they are still in business. I am sure any glowing reviews are from staff of this fraudulent claim device.

I purchased 1 of the Riddex Plus about a month ago, there is no change in the roaches in my house, maybe I should have bought 2 since I do have a 2 story house, but I don't think I will purchase another one because that one is not helping.
