I first put the ridex on. Waited a few days, then it worked! I was very pleased with it I have no complaints. Though I though since it said its gets rid of insects I though it would get rid of ants. I had bought my first house in the Spring time, 2 years ago. At that time there were no bugs, but as the warm weather came so did the bugs! I had ants, spiders, lady bugs- you name it I had them throughout the summer and fall. Then all of a sudden I had rodents and had to deal with them all winter long! It was so disgusting. I tried everything, but wasn't going to have anyone come treat my house because I have 3 cats and a dog. So as the mice moved outside for the summer the bugs moved back in. This past fall I purchased the Riddex Plus and couldn't be happier!! I've had it over 8 months now. I went threw the winter with NO MICE! And now that it's nicer out and becoming warmer I haven't had bugs- not one bug! I highly recommend this product! It's still working just fine for me!Customer Review: I should have read the reviews before buying it.

I don't know why I did not read the reviews before buying it. I bought them because I leave in the first floor, and every summer we experience a house-centipede infestation, so I bought this crap to put in my kitchen and bedroom in order to avoid the ugly bugs. Just this week I have to kill two with my sandals just side by side with the device. I think the bugs look for it and laugh. They probably think: "why this guy spent money on it?"
They only think useful is the nightlight that comes with, which helps in the dark.
My opinion is: Buy a chemical killer. Do not waste your money.

I have used this product for over 20years. I first tried it when I worked in a classroom which was overtaken with cockroaches. It was kind of funny to watch them march OUT of my room. My neighboring classrooms began to complain about an increase in roaches so I told them abouit RIDDEX. There was a period of about 5 years where my units wore out and I couldn't find a place to buy them where I spent big bucks on other ultrasonic units with no luck. I had ant problems every time it rained and in the summer. New building was going on nearby and I noticed my cat catching RATS outside. Luckily I googled RIDDEX and found some units. I do not have ants in the summer or after rain now. I have continued to keep all rodents out of my home. I swear by this product. I am sending some units to my daughter who just moved to Texas!

I bought 4 of these products and I can tell you that they do work!!!! Plus, they repeal ants! I don't have an ant problem once i started using this product.
I am going to be buying 2 more. I think maybe if others are not having good results, maybe 1 unit per floor of the home is not enough. I have 3 on each level, spaced out through several rooms, and that seems to do the trick, considering all of the electronic appliances that are plugged into my home.
