Amazon had these on sale for $8.00 for a 3-pack, which was a great deal. I bought a package to supplement some that we already had mounted in a couple locations in the house. We live in a rural area and power-outages are a routine thing, sometimes for over a day. These work great for that type of emergency lighting, or possibly the occasional lighting needed in a closet or crawl space where it wouldn't be practical to wire a permanent light.
Previous reviewers weren't happy when they tried to use them as under-cabinet lighting. I don't think they would be bright enough for that type of use, and although batteries will last nearly a full 24 hours, that would probably be less than a week of every-day use.
Price seems to fluctuate a lot, so check back and check around. I've also seen them at Costco (with batteries included) for a good price.

These are handy for small closet spaces and the like. They can also be used for small work lights, emergency flashlights, etc. They aren't the brightest lights in the world--flashlights with multiples of LEDs are brighter, but they are small and handy.Customer Review: Good product

For the price, $17.95 for a three-pack, it's a good value. They can mount with either velcro pads or screws. The tilting/rotating mechanism doesn't allow a very wide coverage area. They use three AAA batteries apiece and work fine with NiMH batteries (still on the initial charge after four months of use). I don't think I'd recommend these for mood lighting or the like, but for temporary/emergency lighting, they're very serviceable.

I read reviews and the manufacturer information. I am very pleased with these lights. We have a large office with bright LCD screens and computer monitors. Our kitchenette on the far side of the office has large bright panel halogen lighting. Of course when those lights are off, the kitchen is in the dark!
Thanks to these puck lights, the three were enough for our small counter space; we can have the BIG lights out and use the LED lights!
