It should be obvious from the price and photo that this is a simple item. But, after seeing it, it is well worth buying. It is simple to use, it works, and doesn't cost much. I bought the Stanley sharpening set before buying this, and also bought two of the diamond pads... this will compliment all of them. On all of the sharpening tools I have seen so far, regardless of price, they all have a realitively small roller wheel that will allow the tool to wobble if not used correctly. You must use caution to NOT apply pressure on the roller but squarly on the blade being sharpened. The complaints about the kit honing guide was that it was very hard to square it on the holder.... yeh, it is a bit easy to goof up - to get it just right. This tool has no such problems. It is worth every penny of it's price. If keep it simple is the name of the game (to keep the cost down) this does that well. If you buy it, don't complain, it is less than $10 and does a great job. (smile) I would buy it again knowing what I do now.
