This is a nice shredder for the price. Works great. People who say it is wimpy are trying to use it for other than what it was intended. This is a personal shredder not a commercial shredder. Commercial shredders are big bucks, and you can shred all day without stopping, however you pay for that privilage. Personal shredders are designed for personal use, that means you shred items as needed insteading of saving for one big day of shredding. Any personal shredder will have problems doing that as they were not designed for that.
Also, people never use shredder lubricant and then wonder why their shredder burns out after 6 months. Shredders should be lubed at least every other time you empty the basket. Very easy to do, just squirt some lube on the blades as they are turning. How long would your car last with no oil? If you take care of your shredder, it will last a long time. I have owned this one for about 3 years and it is still like new.
