Each pocket is large enough to easily hold a pair of my (female) shoes. My husband's shoes are larger, but each pocket is large enough to hold each shoe. As a result our closet floor is much neater since it the shoes easily fit (that is, the shoes are simply dropped into each pocket). The bag holds 20 pairs of my shoes and 10 pairs of my husband's. I have thrown away all of my shoe boxes and place the shoes in these shoe bags.Customer Review: Not Bad

I bought this item after reading other positive reviews but was very disappointed after about 4 months of light use.
First, its quality is unacceptable. I use it for my toddler daughter and son's shoes which are not heavy compared to adult shoes. But one pocket already loosed up and peeled off from the side where the stiches are and the hook to hang it on the bar already broke.
Second, I have to hang it behind the door with the 4 hooks but my closet door is narrow than the opened up organizer, which made it impossible to close the closet door now.
Third, its pocket is not as spacious. It can hold one pair of kids size 13 shoes or one adult shoe in one pocket. Don't expect to put one pair of adult shoes in there.
All in all, I am not happy with the product and back to the market to look for something better.

This shoe organizer is perfect. I ordered one and immediately ordered a second. If I knew it was this easy to organize my shoes I would have done it much sooner. The rack did not work over my door but was perfect over the rod in my closet. My shoes are a women's size 6.5 and each pocket holds a pair. With my shoes paired in individual pockets it is very easy to grab exactly what I want. Before I was digging through the bottom of my closet trying to find the match to the heels I wanted to wear to work that day. Now they are both where they belong. It is so easy to find them and put them back at night. Not only does it make life easier to find my shoes, but they stay nice and clean and free from marks An extra bonus is that I can now walk into my small walk in closet. I highly recommend this inexpensive shoe rack.
