Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rubbermaid 3H11 Configurations 3-to-6-Foot Classic Custom Closet Kit, Titanium

Customer Review: Easy, breezy!
Summary: 5 Stars

I agree with many of the other reviewers, this product is easy to put in and once you get through one, putting it into other closets is even quicker. The only issue I had was with the anchor. It required you to bend the ends of each spreader back, poke it through the hole and use the engaging tool to set it (this was not clearly defined in my directions). The anchors are very sturdy but try hit as many beams as possible. My closets look great and well organized at a fraction of the cost of other less reliable kits.

Customer Review: Excellant Purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

This was an excellent purchase! I am 6.5 months pregnant and spent all of one half hour installing this, while my husband shoveled snow. Easy to install, easy configure. I am a bit spatially challenged so some trial and error to get the "best" configuration for us. I am ordering 2 more to do the nursery closet and a storage closet in our family room.

Customer Review: Excellent Product
Summary: 4 Stars

The Rubbermaid closet organizer is an excellent engineered product. It is very easy to install once you figure out what design you want.

I did not follow completely the measurment shown in the manual. What I did is I did my own measurements.
Couple dislikes:
1- Make sure you have enough screws and you have all the required tools before you start putting the closet in. With my design I was short by one screw where I had to intterrupt my work and drive to Home depot.
2- I wish I can buy spare shelves (variety of sizes) with a resonable price. If I need one more shelf, than I have to buy another kit with specific shelf sizes (depending to what comes in the kit). Home depot does carry Rubbermaid shelves but different model (look). The kits shelves are better.

The closet now looks cleaner and well orgainized. If you need a closet organizer with a resonable price Rubbermaid is a good way to go.

Customer Review: Excellent Value - attractive good quality
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this based on the price ($65 on sale) and the previous reviews. This was installed in a 5' wide x 3' deep x 8' high closet in a house built in 1948. I mention this because the anchors supplied were not quality enough for old masonry/plaster walls. I had my handyman (licensed/excellent) do the work and he said that while this is very good quality they did not include enough screws and anshors are inferior quality even for drywall considering this is an item being used to hold alot of weight. The titanium is much nicer than the typical builder grade/closet maid white. I did go to Home depot and purchase 2 additional wall strips to hand the last shelf along the depth of the closet tot he right (cant see in picture). I opted for double hung the entire width and then we single hung tha last shelf to the right as high as possible for long robes, etc. The Titanium color is the same as what Home Depot sells - ut they called it satin nickel I believe. I am very pleased and would buy this again.

Customer Review: Finally someone got it right!
Summary: 5 Stars

Alright over the past several years I have paid various closet companies to put professional organizers in a few of our homes. In the past I probably have spent in total approx. $15,000 with these companies. Recently I wanted a walk in closet in our new house done but I knew that this summer we were going to remodel and knock this closet completely out to expand for a master retreat. Not wanting to spend $3000 or more on a professional closet only to see it torn down and thrown away in a few months I decided hey this is a cheap system it will do for a few months and it even looks easy to install. To my shock it came and it was awesome. It took (3) 3-6 ft systems and (1) 4-8ft system to do this closet. I also ordered, belt racks, canvas bins and wire drawers. Less then $600 to totally pimp out a huge walkin closet yippy!!! Good bye closet companies hello idiot proof installation and versatility for cheap. I love ya Rubbermaid! I'd bet they have a women designing for them.
