I like the closet system. I have a 5 ft closet and this kit (3-6 ft standard kit) provided adequate parts & flexibility. I have a few parts left over (1 shelf, 1 hanger bar) as I wasn't able to use all of it, but its just fine as the space is filled out well by the kit. Sturdy installation and easy to adjust the shelf length. Laid out the kit first before attaching all of the vertical hanging bars, which allowed me to customize it *before* drilling holes in the walls. The directions specify to hang the main rail at 86.5 inches high. This is too high for most people to reach clothing hung at the highest point (I'm 5"5") and it is difficult to get items on that top shelf if there is not enough clearance from the door to the shelf. I've hung 3 of the 4'-8' and 2 of the 3'-6" organizers... the 4'-8' specifies to start the downward rails 2" from the sides of the closet, but the 3'-6' specifies to start 6" in. I had trouble getting the shelves to fit correctly when I did 6" so I custom cut the plastic pieces and did 2" for the 3'-6' organizer. I recommend testing out the shelf widths before deciding what to do.Customer Review: Good Quality Shelving and Easy to Install

I purchased this closet kit after going to the Container Store and Ikea. I found that this kit was the best price for the quality and was very easy to install. Granted you need to have the right tools and do some prep work. I installed this for a very odd shaped closet and was able to double the amount of hanging space and capitalize on the vertical space that was not being previously utilized. Looks great! I've already purchased another kit for my guest closet. Good value! I highly recommend this product.
BTW, I ordered the wire baskets and the pants rack to install on another wall as the main wall in this closet is only 46" wide. I was able to install the Closetmaid uprights and toprail from the Home Depot and the brackets that come with the pants rack and wire basket fit perfectly into these uprights. The Closetmaid uprights come in different lengths so you can customize even further depending on your closet configuration.

I bought this townhouse last year with a small 4 ft closet in the master bedroom. I wanted an organizer with double hanging heights and extra rack space. Luckily I saw this at amazon and its a perfect fit. It was relatively easy to install. Me and my wife were able to install it in 2 hrs. We were a little unsure about how to use anchors but then eventually were able to figure it out. Material feels light but its strong and is able to hold all the items. Now i'm utilizing all the space and have all my belongings in one closet. I have already recommended it to my friends. Go ahead and buy. You won't regret it.Customer Review: Great Way To Organize!
