This is my first experience with a custom closet set and I absolutely love it! This set is well-made and installed relatively easily. My hubby hung the back supports to assure they were solidly mounted in studs and I arranged the shelves and hangers. The included instructions were clear, everything fit together well, and locked in securely. The 8-foot set fit very nicely into the space we had and is easily modified to accommodate your personal needs. It's also nice to know that you can purchase additional pieces if you need them, but there was a nice, more than adequate, assortment of parts with this set. I had a number of pieces remaining after assembling my closet the way I wanted.
Amazon's price was excellent and they offered free shipping for this gold-box deal. I highly recommend it.

I don't need to spend too much time on this review. The item is well made and easily configurable. Make sure you can locate studs in your wall and you're good to go. No cutting necessary. Good product, shame it has been discontinued.Customer Review: Great for kid's closets!

My husband just installed these units into our kids' rooms and I love the flexibility to set them up to maximize space usage. Recently moved my 3 & 4 year old into a room together to make room for baby #3 and we fit the contents of both of their traditional closets and dressers into one closet, without loosing the organized feeling.

After 'shopping' & comparing prices, manuf's, reviews, etc., purchased 3(!!!) 4-8'systems & one 3-6' to re-do all of our closets. You won't beat Amazon's prices; We had selected approx 1/3 of identical products elsewhere and w/ no shipping & tax, Amazon's couldn't be beat! We hired 'handymen' and it took 2 guys <3 hours, which included removing the old shelf & pole. (ALMOST FORGOT: this closet is 18feet long & <4' wide with a 6 1/2'at max sloped ceiling). Took much longer to "configure!" Love that you can easily change/rearrange, mix shelves & rods & other accessories. It's very neat & attractive & extremely sturdy & well-made. Also bought tons of accessories; favorite is slide-out canvas drawers(check Amazon's lower pricing on accessories too). GREAT PRODUCT. The first organizer I installed was the Closet Maid. The second was this Rubbermaid. Buy this Rubbermaid (or similar model).
It was easier to install. Lighter but just as sturdy. The Closet Maid was horrible to install. It stated to keep the hanging beams 23 inches apart, so I did. But when I went to install the Closet Maid brand drawer, the drawer instruction said the hanging beams needed to be 24 or 25 inches apart. (Not sure on the exact numbers but you'll get the drift). This is moronic. No problem with the Rubbermaid.
Also the Rubbermaid to support beam can be overlapped, not so with the Closet Maid. The Closet Maid was metal and had to be hacksawed. Nightmare and more needless work.
I have no problems recommending this product. It is fantastic.
