My closet looks wonderful and it was easy to put together. I have another brand in my kids closet and this is much better because I didn't cut anything (poles and shelves fit inside each other and can be changed easily). As all of the other reviews state, the closet system is easy to install. Just hang the top rails in place, and every thing else just comes together. A drill, level, step stool, and a second pair of hands will come in handy.
The finish on the titanium set is a lovely satin. The clothes rods are polished chrome. Hangers easily slide over the middle supports on the rods. The depth of the clothes rods is perfect (even a little generous) for adult clothing. The shelves can be put in with the lip up to keep things from rolling off.
I recently purchased a house, and the existing use of storage space is less than desirable. I used this system to organize a galley laundry/mud room that is just under 6' long. The closet system was installed on the opposite wall of the washer and dryer. This gives me plenty of desperately space to hang clothes to dry, hang up just out of the dryer clothes, and set folded clothes before everything gets put up.
The shelves are very sturdy. The 4 to 8 foot system will fit every width in between--just follow the directions by spacing the verticals beginning from one side or the other. I love that the shelves are easily reconfigurable. I have reconfigured the system a couple of times to make it more suited to my needs, as it is difficult to know exactly where the best place for each shelf is until you are using it. The closet system can change as you and your family's needs change.
I will be ordering this system for every other closet in our home. This is a huge upgrade to the basic single rod and shelf than seems to be the standard for closets.

I first ordered 3 kits to do the kids bedrooms. It is a fantastic product. The wall anchors worked well on the drywall. The hardest part is finding the studs. The deluxe kit will give you plenty of leftover parts. Amazon has the best pricing on this kit.

I am very pleased with the quality of this product. I purchased two of the Rubbermaid deluxe system (titanium)4-8 ft after reading the reviews. I did venture into the Container Store but the price of their ELFA systems made me venture out of the store! Amazon also offered the BEST price-Lowes had the same kit for $186 (I paid $119 per kit with free shipping).
I rehabbed an older house and I love the character but my only complaint is the small closets. I decided to turn a small unused room into my closet. The wall was 10 feet and I used the 2 systems to take up all 10 feet of the wall.
A family friend that is very handy came with all the necessary tools. Drill,hammer,stud finder,leveler etc. No cutting was required. I did have to go and purchase more anchors. He did not feel there were enough with the kits. He wanted my unit to be extra sturdy. It took approx. 3 hours to put up both systems. It is sturdy it looks great and all my clothes are neatly stored in one area.
I have lived with the closet system for over a week and I may go back and purchase the trouser attachment(it holds 12 pairs a pants and slides in & out). I would wait before purchasing all the Rubbermaid extras (baskets,belt organizer,trouser holder etc). Put it up and place all your clothes on it first, then see what you need from there. You may discover you don't need the expensive extras. If you do, you can always go back and order more.
