I've recently purchased this step stool largely due to the good reviews. It is very lightweight, easy to fold and store. The best part is that it is sturdy. I am an older woman and feel very secure standing on it, as the top step is wide. I'm able to reach everything I need to. I highly recommend.Customer Review: Best step stool ever!

This is the best step stool out there. It's sturdy, the perfect height (two steps)and it wont rust. Easy to clean molded plastic and very light weight. Great for kitchen use and shower use....(ledge for shaving legs)

I had really liked my EZ Step Folding stool until a recent incident has prompted me to caution its users. My husband was standing on the stool when it came apart in 3 pieces and caused him to fall and suffer serious injury. His injury did require surgery and a long period of rehab, and we feel that this caution is needed for others using this product.Customer Review: Convenient and easily stored

This ladder is the second one (I keep one upatstairs and one down)I bought because it is easily stored and convenient to use. The only glitch is that sometimes it is a bit "sticky" at the hinges, but not enough to warrant a huge complaint. I use this ladder to get things off of high shelves and cabinets. The rubber feet create a very solid base so there is no fear of tipping over. Good for a seat as well when cleaning out low closet shelves or folding laundry.Customer Review: Excellent design, not unattractive, useful as shower stool and for support

I'm so glad to have this. (I have Ikea Bekram wooden stools around the house which are also great--good-looking, useful, and less expensive but require assembly, don't fold, less waterproof.)
It would not work for everyone but I'm using this as a shower stool while my leg is in a cast. It is the right height and is sturdy and solid enough for me to plop down on (I'm 120 lbs., 5'3"). Its big feet seem to make it less likely to damage my shower base than an official shower stool with narrower metal legs. I prefer this. It's all plastic. It looks less horridly medical. It can be folded away. And it will continue to be useful after the cast is off.
Contrary to another review, it doesn't pinch my fingers. I like the closing/opening method.
An added bonus is that when folded up it still stands well--so not only can I tuck it out of the way beside the toilet, while it's there it's useful as a support, when I push straight down with one hand.
I'm glad to have it both for its intended and its unintended uses.
