Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rubbermaid 4209 EZ Step Folding Stool, 2-Step, WhiteCustomer Review: best 2-step stool I've ever used Summary: 5 Stars
Hi, I've had this stool for last 2 years, but from some store in Canada. It has very strong construction and the 1st step is only on one side of the ladder. I've used this stool many times as a sitting stool also and the first step serves as a good foot-rest.It's very light and can stand by itself as folded-in. The only negative thing I would say is that the black pads at the bottom part of the legs tend to leave some marks on the hard-wood after repeated use.. or if you leave it standing at some place for too loog. But, you could use floor protector or any kind of carpet for that too. Overall, great buy. ....
Customer Review: good folding stool at a great price Summary: 5 Stars
The weight, size, and height of this stool are perfect for around the house usage. It opens and folds very easily. It stands on its own legs when folded, thus you don't need a wall to lean it against when not in use.
Customer Review: great stool Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this stool for about 6 years. It is VERY sturdy. It has rubber feet to keep it still. It is large enough for me to sit on as well. Folds easily too.
Customer Review: its a stool Summary: 5 Stars
not much to really say. It's a stool, it was on time. The box it came in was huge
Customer Review: not for little kids Summary: 3 Stars
PROS -- it's lightweight and portable and storable. It's sturdy when it's open and easy to use if you are just trying to reach up a bit higher for something.
CONS -- it does slide on linoleum, though not with adult weight on it. I bought it thinking it would be a spacesaving, inexpensive option for my child to reach the sink and counters since it's a little higher than those two-step kids' stepstools, but a young child on it, pushing against a counter trying to reach forward, can slide it backwards. Plus, because of the slant in the back, the step is a few inches away from the counter/cabinets and leveraging little toes against it while reaching forward makes it even more likely to slide on a linoleum floor. So if you are also thinking of putting a kid on it instead of a space-hogging heavy block-type stepstool, keep looking.
The top step is sturdy and textured so that you won't slip on it, but it's not a very wide step, so it's only great for reaching for things. I wouldn't stand on it for doing things like painting or installing something.
