I am 5 foot 2 inches with normal length arms, and I find this basket to be non ergonomic because the handle holes are too high to be comfortable. I have to bend my arms in an awkward way to avoid having the basket drag on the floor.
I guess I have to go back to a space hogging, low height, wide laundry basket... sob... when my biggest dream was a space saving tall hamper...
My impression that the "fit model" for this hamper was a man of about 5' 10". If Rubbermaid cared, they should have made sure there were holes at every level so people of different heights can use this thing.

So far we love this gem of a clothes hamper. Light-weight yet durable, holds plenty but not so much that you are staggering under the weight. We haul clothing back and forth from our basement up to the second floor (two flights of stairs), and these hampers are much easier to manuever than anything else we've tried. Would definitely order again - we purchased three of them, and rotate them between our dressing room and laundry area.Customer Review: Just right

These hampers are perfect. They are neutral coloured, so they practically disappear in my walk-in closet. They hold plenty of clothes, but not so much that they are too heavy to lug around. They have two handles that are easy to grip. The exterior is made of fabric while the interior has sort of a nylon/plastic feel to it, to repel sweat and yuck- it's easy to clean with a towel and some spray. But best of all, they collapse flat. I have a loft and the closet has no door. So if I'm having company over I can simply fold up the empty hampers and hide them behind the dresser. This hide-away capability doesn't sacrifice sturdiness, though, as these bins are tough.
At such a cheap price I bought two and set them side-by-side, one for colours, one for whites. If you have a larger family, you could easily purchase one of these for each family member's room or simply create a "bank" of them in the laundry room.
Overall this is a fantastic product at a great price!
