I bought 4 of these a couple of years ago to use as laundry sorters. I don't carry laundry around in them, so I can't speak to that kind of durability. But they have held up very well as laundry sorters. They hold about a load and a half each, and I have been very pleased with them. But I'm most excited about a more recent use...recycling bins (indoor). They're presentable enough that we have them setting at the end of our counter, and they're large enough that two of them will hold a hefty week's worth of recycling (we recycle everything). We've been trying style after style of recycling bin, and we finally just decided to try our hampers since we had been so pleased with them. So far, it's working great. I like this clothes hamper, but if you're accustomed to doing laundry once a week, say on the weekends, this may not be large enough for you. It may work for your kids, provided they don't change clothes more than once a day. Or if you have room, they may work if you were to purchase several so you can sort your laundry. But if you want just one hamper in your bedroom or closet, definitely look for something a little larger for 2 people if you're a once-a-week laundry person, like us.Customer Review: Good hamper.

I bought two of these and placed them side-by-side in my kids closet so that we can keep their clothes separate. They are very nice for the price.
