This product is great if you are looking to clean and organize your space. Once installed onto the wall, you can use various hooks and attachements to your preference.
The only tricky thing is finding the studs behind your wall. Since the pre-drilled holes within the FastTrack rail are spaced where they are looking for an evenly spaced 16" between each studs.
As you know, while 16" stud spacing is the norm, this is not always the case. I have found that my garage did have mostly 16" spacing between studs, but sometimes a stud could have a 14" spacing.
My solution is to use a drill bit and to actually drill a new hole into the FastTrack rail. This works wonder since you do not have to rely on the pre-drilled holes if your studs are not spaced perfectly.
This way, you can ensure that you have at least 4 studs to attach this rail with. This would permit a maximum load capacity of 1500 pounds!
Oh, and to find a stud, it's best to use a stud finder and mark the "LEFT" and "RIGHT" edge of a stud. Then use a small nail and hammer it in between the "LEFT" and "RIGHT" edge. If the small nail "sticks" to a stud, you will feel resistance. If the small nail goes right through the drywall with no resistance, then you know that the stud is not there.
Don't worry about making too many nail holes since the FastTrack will cover it up. Just make sure that your nail holes are within the area that you wish to install the FastTrack.

When you buy the product you don't know that to carry the weight it is intended to carry, you need to install the 2 ends and at least one middle screw on a wall stud. If the screws on this product do not coincide with your wall studs, this product will not carry even half the weight it is supposed to - which makes sense. But this should have been advertised up front. I got a professional to come install it for me with reinforcements since my wall studs did not coincide with the screws.
There are 7 screws which are 8" apart (0", 8", 16", 24", 32", 40", 48") so it will work for studs that are either 16" or 24" apart

This is a very good system to install on a stretch of wall to hang bulky items. I have a really skinny but long storage closet and I wanted to hang my ladders and vacuum hose in there. The hooks will even hold those steam mops or hand tools. I suggest that the rail be positioned higher than your head height if your space is narrow. The attachment hooks protrude quite a bit and will get in the way if hung too low. It looks very nice and can carry a good load if you drill into the studs. I looked around for a good garage storage system. I chose this one because I like the rails and I like the variety of hooks. The only con about this system, that I can see, is that sometimes the hooks can easily come off the track when you lift your tool off of it. Granted, the hooks are indeed designed to be able to be removed and moved around, but when I remove my tool from this system, just like when I remove my hand tools from my peg board, I would expect the hook to stay on the track.
The 56" track has been discontinued. Now they have 48" and 84". I think this was a good move by Rubbermaid to change the lengths offered for sale.
