They take up more room than necessary, but they keep (washed and trimmer) parsley fresh longer than my previous approach: layered with paper towels in a sealed plastic container. They work for fresh produce because they allow air circulation - by design they are not water tight - so they won't work for other types food storage such as left-overs.
A set of 3 (large, medium and small) is available at Target for $9.99, so just wait for a good price before you buy.

These are convenient, square, stackable and dishwasher safe.
They are especially useful for bagged lettuce/spinach. Really extend the shelf life on these.
I use the smaller ones for raspberries/blueberries. Also significantly extends shelf life. (not as long as the lettuce-but hey, they are mushier to begin with)
Husband scoffed at them at first, now he is surprised that they really do help.
I've given two sets away as presents already and bought a second set for myself.

I was excited about these storage containers as I eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and it's hard to keep them for more than a day or so. These containers dried my fruit and vegetables out TOO much. They were dry and shriveled after two days. The only way to solve this was to actually ADD moisture to the containers with a wet paper towel.Customer Review: Excellent choice - good gift

These are great - replaced all my mismatched stuff - they stack and snap together for storage - the little trays in the bottom extend the life of produce (berries, etc) with airflow - I give these two thumbs up. Good present.
