Don't sweat the negative reviews; there is really nothing wrong with this drainer. It could use more storage space for silverware, but aside from that, it's ideal.
I've seen a lot of people claim there is a HUGE "hole" that dishes can fall out of. This is retarded. There is a SMALL space, which is blocked by the silverware holder, but no dishes could possibly fall out, through this. As for the silverware holder, itself: it would be nice if there were two, but there is nothing wrong with the one included; it is of average size and normal utensils stand up in it, just fine, so long as you're not trying to jam anything huge, in there.
This drainer is well-made, functional, attractive, and VERY reasonably-priced. No, Rubbermaid "doesn't make 'em like they used to," but that's true of virtually any product, from any brand. There are no crazy design flaws, here; just an economical way of holding your dishes as they dry. You could probably find a better dish drainer, but you will not find a better one anywhere NEAR this price.

So far so good. We've only been using it for a week but it's sturdy and has plenty of space to properly place our dishes. The things on the side work well for drying cups - they're pretty secure. I hope it will last us for a while. I bought stainless steel dish racks before but they seemed to rust easily, even with regular cleaning. Let's see how this one performs. ...but it is a well-made dish drainer with lots of space for dishes, cups, glasses, bowls, utensils, and the like.
I bought the large model to replace a no longer needed dishwasher, and I am happily running my dishes through quickly and getting out of the kitchen. Both good things.
I do agree with the other reviewers about the new silverware basket; it's not as convenient as the older design....my smaller pieces of silver need to be placed carefully to remain upright and dry spot free...but that's a quibble. Rubbermaid still makes the best dish drainer on the market....especially for those of us holdouts who prefer to hand wash their dishes.
