This organizer is totally configurable. I suggest that when it's installed install the initial pieces as high as possible so that you can just add on and add on and add on as much as you like. I LOVE IT, my daughter LOVES her new closet it seems like she has a totally new CLOSET, the look and feel and everything about it is just beautiful :)Customer Review: Nice flexible system

This is a very flexible system for maximizing your closet space. Take your time assembling it and it will be quite sturdy. I do have a few issues with it. First, the drywall anchors don't work very well; I never could get them to open up properly with the supplied tool. Second, the vertical supports are supposed to be placed 22 inches apart, making it impossible to anchor all of them into studs which have a 16-18 inch separation. Fortunately, they supply enough brackets and shelves so you can put the vertical supports at almost any interval and it will still set up fine. Lastly, if you install it at the height they specify, you will have a lot of trouble reaching the top shelf if you have 2 tiers of hangers. With the second unit I installed, I dropped the height by 7 inches and it is much more convenient that way.Customer Review: Nice system and relatively easy to insall...

Please be forewarned, that if you have any thought of possibly using some of the accessories for this system, you MUST set your uprights at the prescribed 22 inches apart.
Also, please note that if your space is not 6 feet wide, and you go with 22 inches between the uprights, you'll end up with a section that could be very, very, narrow and unusable for shelving.
I installed this into a closet to replace a ClosetMaid single shelf closet system. The space was about 5 feet wide. I do not have any intention of using the accessories that require the 22 inch width (basket, shoe rack, pants rack, etc). My first lay out following the directions clearly. I ended up with a space that was about 6 inches wide. So, I reconfigured the uprights and have about 15.5 inches between them. Works well, and doesn't look silly.
The directions are clear. The materials are solid. The anchors they supply are not what you're used to; a cross between a traditional plastic anchor and a molly. They seem to work fine.
Definitely like the system, and intend to purchase the 4-8 foot deluxe system for another closet upgrade.

Once assembled, this product is flexible, and very durable. However, I had problems with the wall anchors. The anchors provided with the product did not work. The instructions indicated that it may be necessary to use different anchors than the ones provided, which was a big dissapointment. I had to go to the harwdware store and spend time searching for the right anchor. After this the assembly was simple and easy. Aside from the issue with the anchors, I am very satisfied with this product.Customer Review: Quality+Price=Value

I am very happy with my new Rubbermaid Configurations closet kit. It was very easy to install and is flexible to accommodate changing needs. Compared with other closet organizers, the Rubbermaid was a steal. The materials are quality and it feels very solid in my closet.
