KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE A BATTERY OR CHARGER!! This is part of the concept where you own a few batteries and a charger and add individual tools as you need them and avoid the cost and waste of purchasing redundant batteries and chargers.
Overview for those that have never used a "driver" to install wood screws (applies to all brands of drivers): Once you use a "driver" to screw in wood screws you will NEVER want to use a regular drill (that does not include impact ability and the high 2000+ rpm's of most drivers) again. You can now use ordinary wood screws where you once would have use nails. This is great for items that might need to be dissembled or accessed for maintenance. Generally, all drivers work about the same (great) you pay tons more for compact size and lithium batter (typically $200+). Also, you no longer need square head deck screws, You can drive 3" screws with no pilot hole and the screw's head will still look brand new - no striping or signs of a distorted screw head. Ultimate control with wood screws even when it is completely screwed in you can rotate the screw a 1/4 turn WITHOUT having to ever press hard as you would when using a drill to turn a screw. No more jamming and building tons of speed with your drill and bearing down with all your weight. Use a driver and you will be amazed at the effect impact has on inserting screws - it is as important or more important than the chop saw for cutting 2x4's!!!
PROS: Fast, heavy duty - I have driven more than 20 lbs of 1 5/8" screws. Very long battery life. You can drive 4 lbs (600? screws)of 3" wood screws on a single battery charge. Can drive a 3" screw near the end of your reach with one hand. Can take a lithium battery - when the price drops. Good over ergonomics and balance. Very durable, a home owner will NEVER wear this tool out (unless they find a way to misuse it - like stirring cement or something it is clearly not made for.
CONS:
Very loud - you must wear hearing protection. Will easily strip or damage regular (non-wood screws). 18v battery and solid metal front end make the tool a bit heavy. Handle is thicker than it needs to be which causes some fatigue esp when driving with one hand. Could be more compact making it easier to access tight spaces.
If you already have Ryobi tools your OnePlus batteries will fit and work great (even if the battery is worn 50% or more).
