Tools and Hardware Reviews of SE 3pcs Jewelers Eye Loupe 10x 30x Loupes + Dual 10X-20XCustomer Review: 30x is actually 10x. They should mark it as such. Summary: 1 Stars
Not nearly as good as the 10x loupe I bought at a hobby shop years ago. Didn't expect much for $5.93, but did expect to get what was advertised. If you need a 30x loupe, look elsewhere. This "30x" loupe is actually 10x. The set's optics are very poor. Objects are magnified but the image you see is not as sharp and detailed as you would get with a better quality loupe. Do yourself a favor and check your local hobby shop or other merchant first if you want a loupe that's not junk. Product returned for refund.
Customer Review: ALRIGHT Summary: 3 Stars
Very basic ,about 7-12X actually. Very handy for initial scoping of structure of glazes for the pottery as work comes from the kiln.Solidly made glass optics resolve well. The stainless steel loupes have a lanyard loop and a self closing device, very compact. These loupes live and tend to wear out with the fine silica grit in the harsh conditions that they are in around here.At these low prices and easy availability no great loss.
I use a $600 stereo 20X microscope for a more detail assessment of my stuff in the clean room.No comparison but both approaches are very welcome.
Customer Review: Amazing value - great set for your tool kit or glove box! Summary: 5 Stars
I couldn't believe Amazon's delivered price for this practical set of tools! While a little smaller than expected, each works as intended, has a comfortable weight in your hand and comes securely packed in padded plastic cases. They make an ideal addition to a working toolbox, glove box, office drawer and individually they fit very easily into a pocket or purse. What a great value!
Customer Review: As others have stated, 30x is actually 10x Summary: 1 Stars
First off, these are very small. The 10x and the 30x are the same except for the printing on the outside. The dual 10x/20x is very small and isn't much good without a very good light source. Overall, these are fine for children to play with but shouldn't be considered anything other than toys. As for 10x, these are actually more like 7x. My 10x I currently use is twice the diameter of these and has a much higher magnification. To view with these you have to hold your head withing a few inches of the loupe and hold the loupe less than an inch away from the item you are viewing. Please don't waste your money on these. They truly are worthless.
Customer Review: Either things are getting smaller, or I am getting older. Summary: 4 Stars
Great for a tool bench, craft box, or other hobbies. Not a substitute for a magnifing glass, these are for when you need to see a very small detail.
