At first this little guy looked cheaply made, but it actually isn't. It's well made and best used to illuminate a small spot on a desk for close work, or to use as a book light. The base could use a little more weight, it tends to fall over fairly easily. But for the price and what I intended (extra working light for small projects) it's a good deal and a good little lamp.
