This flashlight is ideal for cat owners. The white LEDs are bright enough to serve as a very adequate, short-range flashlight. The UV LEDs aren't especially powerful however they can detect stains in carpet in a very dark room. The laser pointer is bright enough to serve as a fun toy for a cat. The laser is brighter than the typical keychain laser so it would be advisable to avoid pointing it near someone's face and eyes (including your pet!). Other reviewers observed that the power button needs to be depressed several times to cycle through the various on/off modes. I agree that this can be annoying but I have so many flashlights with this type of feature, I guess I'm used to the extra thumb exercise.

The flashlight seems to be well made and lasts a long time on a set of batteries. The weight and size are decent. If you are looking for a powerful UV light for forensics, scorpion hunting or stain detection you would probably want to get a more expensive light in the lower range of UV but this works great for light duty stain hunting. I recommend this flashlight based on the price and features.
