Customer Review: "OK" knife, good for some

I thought to buy this knife based on reviews from nutnfancy/TNP given how highly he spoke of this knife. I should preface that I have several knives and I would consider myself a "knife guy." I wanted to like this knife, but I couldn't justify keeping it. I felt it was just too small to be usable, and mind you I'm a small guy and I have thin fingers so I was surprised how odd it felt holding it. I never felt I could get a good grip on it, the way the handles tapers in my opinion is too much and doesn't leave you with much at the end. The lockup on the blade isn't perfect, there was some side-to-side play but it could be adjusted out. What REALLY bothered me was the locking mechanism, it always rattled. With the blade closed it would just flop around and even when the blade was locked out it would still rattle.
On the flipside: the blade comes nicely sharp and has a good shape to it. The assisted opening works great and has nice speed, probably my favorite thing about the knife.
I would recommend this knife to SOME people (and likewise I would buy it for some people as well.) It does make a good every day carry as it's very light, what you'd call an "invisible knife," you forget you have it on you. The smaller size is good for some people who want one which seems less "threatening." The price point is also very good.
Personally, I couldn't justify the shortcomings despite the low price. I've since returned it and am considering replacing it with a SOG Twitch II.

Cryogenic Heat Treatment Guarantees a Sharp, Dependable Blade
The FSA-7 offers a full, 2.5-inch, satin-finished, AUS8 stainless steel straight blade that has undergone SOG's proprietary Cryogenic Heat Treatment process, which ensures that the blade will stay sharp over the long haul. This intensive process takes more than 48 hours and involves slowly reducing the blade's temperature to less than -300 degrees Fahrenheit, then slowly heating the blade to room temperature. The stress created by this process strengthens the steel on an atomic level and increases the blade's overall durability and edge retention.
