This is my first SOG knife; I was torn between this and the Benchmade Griptilian, but after many recommendations I decided to buy this one. I am thoroughly impressed. The SAT springs the blade open after very little initial effort. The grip has a good feel to it and the clip keeps it buried deep inside your pocket without being seen. Blade stays sharp for awhile and it hasn't failed once yet. Definitely will be buying another SOG knife in the future.Customer Review: First Folder

Very pleased with the blade, ease of use, size, weight, etc. I've been looking for a knife to use for an EDC that wasn't too expensive, yet a good solid knife. I like the low profile clip and blade lock. SOG's built in assist mechanism is great...the blade opens with a very easy flick of the thumb. This is the first SOG i've bought. It's an awesome knife. I got it in the mail today so I can't rate it on how it's performed over a period of time but upon first impressions it's great. It's really light and hides easily in the pocket when it's clipped on. The clip is also really strong. I don't imagine it will ever accidentally come out of pocket. You only have to open it a little bit before it takes over and fully opens. I doubt it will open by accident with the safety off. The blade is really sharp. I cut a few things with it and it's amazing how easily it cuts. It also feels really strong in the hand. Even without a pronounced thumb seat it feels really secure. This product is fantastic! It is light, works great and opens easily with either hand (so you can use it in either pocket). The only slight downside is that it is a little thick compaired to other knives but it does not seem to make much difference. Very impressed with the quality, weight and function of this knife. the blade edge is extremely sharp, the pocket clip is aggressive enough to keep it in your pocket yet allow retrieval without struggle. the blade assist works flawlessly, with presentation of the blade being a one-handed affair. a great knife at a killer price.
